I am always on the lookout for new, and exciting makeup brands to try. A friend told me about Glamour Doll Eyes mineral shadows and I am so glad she did! photo 2

Who is Glamour Doll Eyes?

From the Website:

Glamour Doll is an eye shadow company that strives to bring you fashionable and unique colors to strut your stuff! Our eye shadows are great for any age! All of our ingredients are made from earth minerals. The main ingredients we use are Magnesium Stearate, Zinc Oxide, Kaolin Clay and Methicone Treated Titanium Dioxide. All of the colors we use in our eyeshadow s are FDA approved for eyeshadow use.

Glamour Doll was started in November of 2008. Since then, we have sold over 100 shades of shadow, glitters, balms and gloss. We have also expanded our brand tremendously to offer items that aid in your make up application (primers, foiling agents, etc). As we learn more about our customers, we create more colors so that we offer a wide variety of shades for just about everyone!

They have a huge variety of colors on the website and I chose 6 colors to test. They are great shadows! Let’s check em out!glamourdolleyes

Prankster-prankster

Prankster is a gorgeous metallic gold/brown with subtle shimmer. In the light you see alot of gold, but you also see some hints of red. This makes a great shadow for your lid. It’s creamy, easy to blend and I think it is an appropriate shade for just about anyone!

Obscure-obscure

This is another great shadow for your lid, or even the crease if you build it up. A very matte shadow, with slight purple shading. I found this one to be a bit drier and harder to blend, (with primer) but I still love the color and will use it often.

Undercover-undercover

Another GORGEOUS one! A gorgeous brown with silver shimmer. This would be GREAT for a contour shadow or for the lid in a sexy, shimmery, smokey look. Another shadow with superior blendability and a nice creamy texture.

Catwalk-catwalk

I am always drawn to purple and green shadow, and this one screamed BUY ME! It is a gorgeous, amazing shade of purple with blue undertones. It kinda looks like a pretty, shimmery cornflower blue. I love what this color does with my eyes. it makes the green pop! It also has nice shimmer and could be used to enhance a smokey eye look.

Fiji Mermaid-fiji

Did I mention I love green shadow? Well I do. This one is INCREDIBLE! I’ll let the Glamour Doll Eyes website describe this one. It’s spot on!

”this greenish blue tells the story of a commonly used sideshow act. The Fiji Mermaid is alive and real, with with green shimmer undertones, reminiscent of scales.”

This green is so gorgeous, and not for the timid! Deep, dark and totally badass. The shimmer just adds to it’s appeal, in my book. Creamy, easy to blend, this is my favorite shade of the group.

Undead-undead

I picked this one because I am obsessed with zombies, and I couldn’t resist the name. I like having black shadows around to use in the crease to deepen it. This one has a tinge of red to it and lovely shimmer. Need a shade to shake up your smokey eye? Look no further!

Did you know that most shadows can be used wet? When you add water to shimmery shadows it completely enhances and changes the color. It’s called foiling, because the water causes the shimmery pigments to look like foil! You can do so much with it, including lining your eyes! I decided to foil the shimmer shadows I got and they are spectacular! Check out the difference! ‘The colors are Prankster, Catwalk, Fiji Mermaid and Undead.photo 1 glamourfoil

The color explodes off of your hand! I apologize for the clumpy look of the Fiji Mermaid, I had a harder time with this one. The formula just wouldn’t work as well. Other than that, isn’t the effect spectacular? I just love it!

Glamour Doll Eyes has great shadows, at awesome prices! They offer a generous, sample size baggie for $1.25, or a full size jar, with or without sifter for $6.00. The jars are small, (2-2.5 grams of product in a 5 gram jar, with no sifter, and 1.5-2 grams of product in a 5 gram jar, with sifter) BUT you need such a small amount, it will last you a long time! Plus, at that price, you can afford to buy it over and over again!

Check out Glamour Doll Eyes! Great Indie Shadows at GREAT prices!
